All you have to do to use this ZooGuide is to ╘double click╒ on the ╘Click me╒ icon on your CD-ROM disk!
If you do not have QuickTime 2.0 already installed in your System folder, you should drag the file ╘QuickTime╒ included on this disk into your Extensions folder. The easiest way to do this is to drag it onto your (closed) System folder and your Mac will then ask you if you wish to place it in the Extensions folder. After installing QuickTime, restart your Macintosh before using this ZooGuide.
MOVIE QUALITY
Two versions of each movie are included on the disk ╨ the default settings play the highest quality movies, but if playback is jerky, switch to the ╘slow CD ROM drive╒ setting on the opening screen of ╘Life in the Desert╒
The movies on this disk may not give satisfactory playback on a single speed CD-ROM drive with an older-style Macintosh (for example LCII, MacII).
---IMPORTANT---
---SYSTEM 7.5 USERS---
A few users of our ZooGuides products have experienced problems with sound in our QuickTime movies when using System 7.5 and some Macintosh hardware configurations.
Problems reported are either no sound at all or erratic and choppy sound in some movies.
If you experience either of these problems, you should drag the file ╘Apple Multimedia Tuner╒ included on this disk into your Extensions folder. The easiest way to do this is to drag it onto your (closed) System folder and your Mac will then ask you if you wish to place it in the Extensions folder. After installing the Tuner, restart your Macintosh before using this ZooGuide.
This problem is not restricted to our own products ╨ some other QuickTime-based products written under earlier version of the Macintosh Operating System have also reported problems running with System 7.5, so you may find installation of the Apple Multimedia Tuner is useful in a wider context.
